Chef Giuseppe Zito brings a rich culinary heritage to Realmuto Alta Pasticceria Italiana. With
roots deeply embedded in the Byzantine center near Palermo, Zito’s journey as a pastry chef
began at his mother’s Bar Gesualda. Trained in renowned pastry shops across Italy and
France, Zito specializes in celebratory sweets and Sicilian pastry, fusing tradition with
contemporaneity. As the consulting master gelato maker for Realmuto Hospitality Group
since 2017, Zito’s expertise spans gelato crafting to the art of leavening. His accolades
include a silver medal for the best ice cream in Italy and the title of International Master of
Chocolate Sculpture.
Zito’s “Tradition in evolution” philosophy seamlessly blends classic Sicilian pastry with a
modern approach. The Realmuto pastry shop in New York, under his guidance, will celebrate

Executive Chef Alessandro Pendinelli: Self-taught chef Alessandro Pendinelli, born in
Molfetta, South Italy, is the culinary architect behind the savory offerings at Realmuto Alta
Pasticceria Italiana. Alessandro’s cuisine is a harmonious blend of Italian and Mediterranean
flavors. After running his own restaurant in Italy, he embarked on a culinary journey that led
him to New York four years ago. With experience at reputable establishments like Masseria,
Gradisca, Uva, Fresco by Scotto, Gabriel’s, and La Voglia, Alessandro brings a wealth of
